About this Legal Assistance Service (LAS):
The Pilbara Community Legal Centre provides legal advice, information, community legal education, court representation, financial counselling, credit and consumer and advocacy services for marginalised and disadvantaged people in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The head office is in Karratha with branch offices in South Hedland, Newman and Roebourne.
The Pilbara Community Legal Service Inc. (PCLS) has a team of 23 staff operating from these four offices; however our services are delivered throughout the Pilbara region to isolated communities which include: Talka Warra, Yandiyarra, Marble Bar, Nullagine and Jigalong with occasional visits to Onslow, Tom Price and Paraburdoo.

The Law Graduate will be placed in Karratha office and will be supervised by the senior lawyer who provides legal advice and legal education programs, advice, advocacy and support for victims of domestic violence. The centre also has a supported housing assistance and tenancy rights program. Financial counselling, credit and debt and consumer rights are also available for disadvantaged clients.
