About this service
The Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) was established in Redfern in the 1970 in response to the systematic discrimination and disadvantage faced by Aboriginal people in the Criminal Justice System. It has since grown to 23 offices across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, and provides free and means tested legal advice and assistance to Aboriginal people in criminal law, child care and protection, and family law matters.
The Bourke office is one of seven in the western zone of NSW and is managed out of Dubbo. You will be supervised by an experienced criminal lawyer who has been practicing in the Bourke community for several years.
